The post-graduate training offer of the Department of Biomedical, Dental and Morphological and Functional Imaging Sciences is organized in numerous Specialization Schools that allow further qualification to numerous young graduates, allowing them to enter the world of work both in the clinical-surgical field and in the field of scientific research.
The teaching activity of the Department is supervised by a Joint Commission, made up of an equal number of teachers and students, which has as its main purpose that of monitoring the training offer and the quality of teaching as well as the service activity to students by teachers, thus ensuring an improvement of the teaching services present within the Department itself.
The over 130 professors who belong to the Department of Biomedical, Dental and Morphological and Functional Imaging Sciences carry out activities both in the field of Basic Sciences (Anatomy, Physiology, Histology, Medical Physics, Biochemistry, Chemistry), and in the medical-surgical and diagnostic field (Respiratory System, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Maxillofacial Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Psychiatry, Neurosurgery, Forensic Medicine, Neurology, Diagnostic Imaging), thus ensuring intense scientific activity for the Department itself. On this basis, a Scientific Commission has been established within the Department which, in periodic meetings, during which each Scientific-Disciplinary Sector presents the progress achieved in the scientific field, allows the heterogeneous scientific community to work synergistically, finding common ground that can advance scientific research.
