A hallmark of the BIOMORF Department is the large number of subject areas, which is a strength for developing quality research with a high degree of interdisciplinarity. The activities, which range from basic sciences to the medical field, are organized into seven Macro-Areas (MAs), which are divided into themes expressed in multiple lines of research. This comprehensive structure ensures effective skills mapping and fosters constant interdisciplinary osmosis, enhancing the scientific identity of each sector while promoting the development of cross-cutting synergies. The various lines of research conducted in the medical field are often linked to observational clinical studies and the development of medical devices and drugs, involving a significant number of patients.
