A distinctive feature of the BIOMORF Department is its wide range of disciplinary fields, which represents a key strength for developing high-quality research with a high degree of interdisciplinarity. Activities range from basic sciences to the medical field and are organized into seven Macro-Areas (MA), which are articulated into topics developed through multiple research lines. This capillary structure ensures effective mapping of expertise and promotes constant interdisciplinary osmosis, enhancing the scientific identity of each sector while driving the development of cross-cutting synergies. The various research lines conducted in the medical field are often linked to observational clinical trials and to the development of medical devices and pharmaceuticals, involving a significant number of patients.
