The Committee is appointed by the Department Council on the proposal of the Director, and is composed of professors; its composition, as far as possible, must represent the CUN areas and the different areas of departmental research.
The tasks of the AQ-RDTM Committee are defined in the Quality Assurance System (SAQ) 2020 document (see pp.17-18), and in particular consist of:
- assist the Department Director in defining and monitoring the strategic objectives for research and the third mission on an annual basis, and in planning improvement actions, verifying their effectiveness
- carry out the review for research and third mission activities, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, and formulating any proposals for actions to improve them
- submit proposals on research activities and on the criteria for the distribution of related funds within the Department
- promote communication within the organization and with other structures involved in research and third mission processes
